The Roles tab is displayed when you select a theme name from the top grid in GIS Themes form. It is used to associate GIS Themes and User roles and controls the way a theme is accessed via AWLRS. If a user does not possess a role that is listed under a theme, the theme will not be available in AWLRS.

User Roles must have been set up using the Roles form (see Roles) before they can be selected here.

You can press the button to create a new Theme-Role association and the button to remove an association. Pressing the button allows you to edit an existing GIS Theme-Role association by changing the Role and Mode values.

• Role (Required): Select the role a user must have to access spatial features of this type.
• Mode (Required): Select the Mode of access the user may have. You can select one of the following:
  • NORMAL: read and write permissions to the database
  • READONLY: no write permission to the database
